Missions

What Our Missions Include

Our missionaries in Shell, Ecuador are busy at work now that they have settled in. JONATHAN and BEKAH PIFER are in their house, have hosted two groups on short-term missions, working on building a church. They have started a woman's group, and are learning about the snakes and bugs.

For OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD, Shoebox Ministry, we are asking for soap and washcloths for February. Our goal is 130 boxes, and are asking for boy's small cars, and trucks for March. Thank you for loving the world's children!

Our two Homeless Ministries are doing very well! The Nothing But Jesus ministry had rain, but still had a good group! The group of children continue to grow, and need shoes and socks, hats and mittens. They are still trying to refurbish a van for a needy family...See Heather Parlier. The Greer Soup Kitchen is feeding around 130 people for every meal, and they could use help...See Steve Miller.

Please take an empty water bottle to put your change to go to WATER MISSIONS INTERNATIONAL. Last Year we sent $800 to help dig wells for small villages around the world to have clean water. When your bottle is full, bring to June Craig.

Continue to save the tabs from canned drinks, and we will take them to the RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE to give treatments to children that are critically ill. A tour will be planned for Spring, and also a meal will be prepared for the families that stay in Ronald McDonald House.

John and Maddie, QUILTS BY MADDIE, have finished the quilts for Hospice, and they have been prayed for by all of you. The quilts will make some sick person feel that they are loved.

Terrance and Jackie Rhodes  are our missionaries to Guatemala City, Guatemala. They are teaching the Doctrine of Jesus through street ministry and in home Bible study. Terrance also teaches Men’s recovery out of 2 Peter 1.

Nothing But Jesus Street Ministry

Venture Church volunteers partner with other local churches and organizations to minister to local people at their point of need.

Operation Christmas Child

Each year venture sponsors hundreds of gift boxes to support the Samaritan's Purse initiatives to bless children all over the world at Christmas. Bob & June Craig coordinate monthly donation drives where you can help to be a blessing for a boy or girl in need. In November we gather together to assemble the boxes with time of prayer and devotion to these special children.

Other Mission Projects

In addition to Foreign Missions, Venture finds opportunities to minister to our local community in various ways for example providing meals, performing acts of kindness, and collecting offerings for specific needs. We also collect medicine bottles for medical missions over seas. We support Water Mission by collecting loose change in water bottles throughout the year.
